I just bought a laptop with Windows XP and needed to install Quake2 so I could use my map editor. I have no interest in playing the game on my laptop. This is the friendly XP message I get when I start it up....

ReCycled, add quake2 exe to the DEP exclusion list (its in computer props, select enable for all apps/drivers except these apps below and click add and point to quake2.exe)

ya if you knew a thing or 2 about using windows you wouldnt either
so here i am able to run almost every single program and piece of hardware without any trouble at all
i bet you had a hell of a time getting everything working not to mention how SLOW and laggy playing must be

im not saying windows is perfect, it still has its problems. but it has come along way

im not a windows fanboy, but dispite it being made and overpriced by microshit, i still see it as essential
i feel sorry for those who put themselfs through learning and using such things just not to pay for windows. its not worth it
there are ways around it i have yet to give microsoft a dime.

if you think what i do is wrong,  microsoft does alot worse

Playing Quake2 on BeOS is not slow and laggy at all... although our 3D driver has came along way for one guy who works on it in his freetime... our 2D driver is better than what a whole floor at the MS corporation can do, except one guy can make for BeOS.
