AntiCheat Failed to Load

Every time i try to join any tasty servers my anticheat says Anticheat Failed to Load in red text in console. I cannot join the servers, and i cannot join without ,  i was forced to have t running bc i called someone a cheat??!?. I use q2pro r11504 924ff39 May 5 2016. This is the latest. Please remove the force or fix your server.

The funny thing is, i was being sarcastic when saying i do cheat LOL. I was running AC during that time anyways. Also, you act like i'm the only one who trolls on the server like that. Yet i dont see those people forced to use AC. Also, why did you remove the other player comments and just leave mines it seems like bad editing to make one look worse than what is being said. Anyways, what a joke, and this still doesnt fix AC issue with your server connecting to AC. cheers.

So i noticed for some reason I am forced to use AC why? the thing never worked for me it always crashes my Quake2. I use Q2Pro and I tried both the AC for Q2Pro and non-version always crashing my game. It is updated as well. Please why??

Hm. What was inconvenient was just now searching back through pages of old messages to find the PM you mention, which was exchanged on September 17.

But yes, it indeed included this statement, "It's been our experience over the years, that anyone who goes on and on endlessly accusing others of cheating, ought to also be running anticheat themselves:", followed by all the log data posted above.

Since there still seems to be some confusion, the criteria aren't literally as simple as just calling someone a cheat. (Hemroyd goes on endlessly about cheats, and he's obviously goofing around.)

However, forced AC becomes increasingly likely when conditions include the following:

 - Your behavior produced an actual complaint from other players, requiring investigation
 - Searching server logs finds phrases like "q2 is so hacked / admin wont ban cheaters"

That said, intent of forcing AC is not to prevent a player from joining the servers. (If we wanted that, a ban would be the clear choice.)

First of all... I really don't care what you do. It doesn't effect me, so I don't worry. But as bluemeanies mentioned, there have been a lot of people over the years who have posted on the forums claiming the only reason they were forced to use AC was simply because they called someone else a cheater. And they usually state it in exactly that way, which would lead the reader to assume they mean that they called someone a cheater only once or twice and then they were unfairly targeted with a hastily forced AC requirement afterwards as if they're the victim of a great injustice. But in reality, like you, they've been doing it frequently for an extended period of time until the behavior has become a nuisance to many people. So while I still don't care, I thought it might be helpful to everyone both now and in the future to ask Quadz to officially verify how this type of situation occurs and why he handles it the way he does. Now we know. And knowing is half the battle. GI Joe.

But... just wanna mention one more thing. In the post I've quoted above, you PM Quadz essentially telling him that AC never works for you. He responds. Then you make the comment after quoting his response saying "Which I do (use AC)". You can't get it to run... but you make it sound like you always use it anyway? Eh, whatever. Just thought I'd throw that observation out there. I won't pretend to understand the mindset of people who continuously complain about a thing they continuously subject themselves to.

Long story short... Quadz doesn't "let" cheaters continuously play on his servers. One or two might swing through and make it through the security measures in place over the course of a month, but he's not the kinda guy that finds out about someone doing it and then says, "Fuck it, I don't give a shit, I'm busy." So... don't act like that's the case. Play, have fun, and stop worrying about cheaters that aren't there. Life is good.

all told, you should have done what everyone else does when Optica shows up to vanilla to run up a kill streak vs completely terrible newbie players: put goto in your console and find another server.

That way he can just run around the map by himself. Feet: Vote with them.

It's one of few votes you can make that won't be nullified by a combination of gerrymandering and a bunch of dumb white hicks who will be losing their handouts and medical coverage in the near future thru nobody's fault but their own.
