I had no idea about this till I saw a news story the other day. Kinda stoked considering how terrible that recent Evil Dead remake movie was.

Kinda weird how the Evil Dead series worked out. The first one to me felt more like a "serious" horror movie. But as it progressed, it got more ridiculous and cartoony with each film. Which normally I'd hate. But it actually gave the whole series of films it's special charm that all the cult fans of it love so much. Imagine if they tried some shit like that with the Hellraiser franchise. WHOA.

Whatever channel this thing comes on (Showtime I think), I don't have it, so I'll have to piratebay it and then stream it to my xbox to watch it. Probably gonna wait for the entire season to air before I start downloading it. I think I'd much rather binge-watch a whole season of it all at once rather than waiting a week between every episode. So nobody post fucking spoilers, please.

Yeah, I couldn't wait. Ended up watching the first episode middle of last week. And it was FUCKING FANTASTIC. All the same camera tricks and corny Ash dialogue you'd expect from an Evil Dead movie. I love it!

It is. Ash is the same old self-absorbed egotistical prick. There's tons of way WAY over the top blood and gore, more than there ever was in any of the Evil Dead movies. It is the shit times ten.

On my xbox at the moment, and for some reason embedded youtube videos on these boards never show up. A little early to be teasing us with season 2 trailers. I figured they'd do like last year and stick this show in this Fall calender since all the Fall season shows start just before Halloween. And that's still 3 long months away.

Starz finally has one miniseries that isn't completely terrible. Hopefully if it continues doing so well they'll be able to produce more non-awful shows in the future. Think I mentioned it in the movie thread awhile back how horrible their Spartacus series was. And until now, that was their best offering for a series. Seriously, if you haven't seen it and think you might want to, just make sure you STOP at the end of season 2. Seasons 3 and 4 are fucking garbage.

Finally got around to watching the first 3 episodes of this season.

WOW. This show is fuckin' bonkers, man. Season 2 episode 2, Ash puts his entire head up the butthole of a naked dudes corpse. Yyyyyyyyeah, pretty fuckin' bonkers. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
