Zen PAK, Quake 2 pak with player / item bright skins and new female AI announcer

It's been a while since I dabbled with Quake 2 but I decided to go and make a new PAK, aside from stuff you've already seen in other paks it includes a brand new female AI announcer (for CTF) and color coded bright skins for players, weapons, items and projectiles along with matching HUD icons. Zen PAK utilizes modern Arena FPS visuals while still maintaining Q2 aesthetics.

Hi daffy,

I've downloaded your PAK files and at least will use the CTF one.  Not sure about the change to ammo etc. Might keep it, depends if it affects my MP play!  As to the base1 PAK I found that the text becomes a little hard to read.  I looked at it via the Pak editor, but can't figure how to remove it.

So, the female voice in the CTF Pak - I'll keep - nice     Will see about the coloured ammo. But, won't use the base1.  Thanks for this by the way.

Actually for CTF I'll keep the ammo / weapon change of colour - works quite well.  bean$

Cool man, I have updated the pak with a new higher resolution font among other things - new download link the OP.

If you want to remove that font you should look for pics/conchars in the pak file.

   Removed conchars - now happy with all files - played last night and today - improved my game play, even in normal dm matches.  bean$

New version is up! I managed to find the sources for all the files I'm using in the pak, was kind of interesting to go digging for that stuff.

V3 includes a couple of additional sound effects, bright skins, icons and viewmodel skins.

Neat, yeah it's much easier to tell which weapon your opponent is using etc. :]
