Yeah. That just makes me cringe. Who cares WHAT fucking flag is on the car. It's a one of a kind collectors item and lots of people still love the old show. Painting OVER it completely destroys most of the value of the car as a collectors item.

Let's just focus on the main subject. He's DEFACING a collectors item. This is no different from taking a big black sharpie and scribbling black bars to cover the titty nipples in some high dollar piece of art because artwork depicting naked women might offend someone. It's just fucking stupid to spend that much money on something that rare and that sought after by so many envious collectors only to deface it and ruin it. Sell the damn thing to someone else if you don't want to look at it. Use the profits to pay reparations to the descendents of black slaves who were so oppressed. It just boggles my mind how SO MANY people can be so clueless about the facts surrounding the American Civil War. No one seems to have the ability to have any sense of perspective about how average Americans thought back then. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: Nearly 1 million white Americans, on EITHER side, would NOT have voluntarily given their lives in defense of or opposition to the institution of slavery. In 1860, white people dying for the sake of the future of the black man? Get fucking real.

Just as another little tidbit: Our wonderful sinless messianic former president Abraham Lincoln and his Emancipation Proclamation DID NOT free ALL of the slaves. When the south rebelled against the north, Lincoln did it as a way to create chaos and destabilize the region of the Confederate states so that it would be easier for the Union army to defeat them in combat. The Emancipation Proclamation DID NOT APPLY to any slaves within the Union. FACT.

57% of Americans see the flag more as a symbol of Southern pride than as a symbol of racism, about the same as in 2000 when 59% said they viewed it as a symbol of pride.
A majority favors removing the Confederate flag from government property that isn't part of a museum: 55% support that while 43% are opposed.
And half support private companies choosing not to sell or manufacture items featuring the Confederate flag: 50% are in favor, 47% opposed.
most oppose other efforts, including redesigning state flags that feature Confederate emblems or symbols to remove references to the Confederacy (57% oppose that), renaming streets and highways named after Confederate leaders (68% oppose that) and removing tributes to those who fought for the Confederacy from public places (71% oppose that)
Most Americans, black and white, do agree that the shootings in Charleston should be considered a hate crime: 92% of African-Americans and 86% of whites say it should be called a hate crime.
But there is less agreement on whether it was an act of terrorism. Overall, 41% say the shootings were terrorism. Most whites say it was not terrorism (61%), while most African-Americans say it was (55%).

interesting results, a majority see the flag as a symbol of pride and culture, but the same majority want it removed from government buildings. I guess americans are slowly becoming empathetic?

Despite it's intention the cartoon couldn't be more accurate. When someone waves a nazi flag in front of Jews they just shrug their shoulders, feel a little irritated, and write the guy off as a moron as depicted in the picture. I think this is how most of everyone is. No rioting, looting, and burning. Besides, I mean it's old news. Their country is the size of a postage stamp surrounded by camel jockies that want them all dead. Boooooooooooooooorrrring.
