New asus ve248h 24inch monitor issues

I bought an asus ve248h 24inch monitor and I am experiencing major ghosting/motion blur, especially in videos and while playing q2. I have read that this is an issue with this monitor and by turning the OD setting off in the monitor should fix all ghosting issues but it didnt work. Is there anything else i can try? What resolution would be best to set the monitor to for general use and gaming? My graphics card is an nvidia gt630
