I just began playing DM again never thought it would be so fun

I have been playing in dm as Buprenorphine never used to play dm before I don't know why it is so fun now.  I was always a tdm player.  Anyway seems like a lot of newer players play dm just wondering where did you guys come from ?  How did you hear about q2 and these servers I feel like this game is an underground society now its really cool stuff !

I've always maintained that Quake II had the best FFA experience of the franchise, due to the pacing and *cough* weapon stay dmflag. It's difficult to evangelize FFA because it's generally looked down on in other games, sometimes for good reason.

A lot of its appeal for e at least is the inclusion of the single player power ups that most other games don't have. With those you can become very hard to kill indeed.

With a power shield and ammo pack,you can have 300 shields and 300 bullets for your chaingun,and with 2 red armours ,you can enjoy a state of...

IMO Q2 FFA was probably the most perfectly constructed DM experience of all time and it still occupies that position for me! The setting, the powerups and the weapons just FEEL right and it's just - the best fun you can have while gaming.
