Every top person who considers themselves an elite tdm player I have a request:

Can you post your paks for any modified sound files you have with regards to pickups / player movements

Can you post any sound / 3d plugins you may have that is enabling you to hear 1 mile away from your position

Can you post anything else that you may be using as an advantage over other players

Yesterday it was obvious that scoob's configuration is far different than the average person, and could hear and locate you from significant distances.
Like i said earlier in irc, its bullshit when people join a server, with some using things that may give them an advantage.

So far, deviating from stock quake, I know of the:
pak file for bright skins
the pak file for low health sound reveals: "75" "kill me now"
pak file for grenade countdown
pak file for altered pick up armor sounds

I am sure there are many more, and after all this time, i think it should be mandatory for everyone to reveal what they are using so that we can have a fair playing field.

I am calling out Naymlis, Scooby, Pyrex, and any other person who claims to be top all time in quake. Tell us what you use and let us be on the same page.

Games should be level, as if playing vs your opponent on the same arcade machine. All the little deviations add up, and its not just an experience mismatch. Post and share, and fu all who plan on coming in here bashing me

modified sound does not give you much advantage, and the ones that do are flagged by anticheat (footsteps, railhum, etc)

maybe try turning your volume up, and getting some decent headphones

2d, not sure why you insist on embarrassing yourself with this AGAIN, but Scooby just has really good sound knowledge like the others you've accused of modified sounds.

scooby is fucking leagues ahead of this clown anyway. people like him and naymlis could walk circles around him with no sound, nades only, and on one of 2dums 'special' maps that theyve never played before.

although pretty much anyone on this forum who plays 1v1 can do the same thing
