I need some help making my server function properly

I have rented a server.  I have built the quake2 (I exclusively compile my software Stallman).

OK so here is my servers address.  Wait, wait, it doesn't run 24/7 yet because of my hardworking.

I have the whole address and the intel 3.4ghz for the next five months.  Pings 43-44.  But I need to know now, how do I run the "action quake2"?

I have maps.  I've got a tng.  pak files.  I should be able to outload files to clients eventually (so they don't suck).

I'm lost trying to achieve a distinction between blaster and "handgun".

Hopefully you've compiled r1q2 or q2pro. The original Quake2 3.21 source release is buggy and full of security holes.

It's "Quake 2 -- Version 3.21+r0.16"

I've gotten the source from http://sourceforge.net/p/aq2-tng/ and after a few hundred tries I've gotten it to work!

I still need to make up the maplist and get the game settings right.
