Can't connect to ACMECTF

I always get the error message 'Server disconnected' although there are people on the server.  Whats up?

sometimes it tells me that. try changing your cl_maxfps. also try reconnecting a few times. if that doesnt work try closing your quake2.exe or r1q2.exe whatever you use reopen the game and connect again if that doesnt work try restarting your PC

I've always received the same message when trying to connect to some of ACMECTF's servers without anticheat, so my guess is some players are caught in a forced anticheat subnet.

I think ACME is 100% anticheat required. They are also very picky about pak stuff. I've never been able to connect without anticheat enabled so I don't play there at all anymore since switching to Q2 Pro in the Q2 Starter.

No, we are all anticheat optional on all servers now.....unless you are caught in a forced ac subnet. If that's the case you can contact me thru acmectf.com for possible remedy or explanation.

Yes, we may be considered a bit picky on some pak stuff unless you are using a standard pak or one that has been verified by us. That wouldn't keep you from playing....would only show list of bad files to server. Our download page has all paks that are verified. Again...you know where to contact me if it causes you anguish.

I have had my connection rejected also....it appears to happen randomly and can be fixed by different means...(randomly, again...ymmv). Close Q2, wait for a map change and connect, connect to another port on our server and then to port you intended, worst case reboot........PITA, I know. Haven't found what causes it due to the inconsistency. Any ideas, please let me know.
