I did, the other day, enter a temporary chatban on a specific phrase splinter was repeatedly spamming, to see how he might react. He just adapted by adding some randomness to his wtf+gibberish.

In any case, if splinter's spam is annoying to enough folks, I don't imagine there's much downside to adding a half-mute.

Indeed; unfortunately I'd expect it to block chat from everyone whose name ended in capital "D".

Also, any chat that happened to contain "D:", like ex's frag spam or someone saying, "LOOK WHAT I DID: NEW JUMP AT RAILGUN" or whatnot.

I ended up doing 3 of them... 1 or 2 may have been unnecessary but I think I realized why you chose that video anyway. The person who was spamming from spec happens to be the one complaining in this thread? Haha. Or maybe it's just a coincidence.

I don't remember seeing any spectators talking in the video I watched. Maybe you got the wrong video. I'm thinking it was you and adren somehow involved in a 2v2 that was posted as a link to a Y'allTube video. Been so long, I couldn't tell you where the video was or anything real particular about it. Other than the usage of ":>" several times - by both of you if I remember correctly. Fuck I'm old, who knows.
