There's other games I'm really good in.. through them I've met and made close friends and teammates with halo/cod pros, unreal t, etc.. and they all LOVE to watch my quake 2 demos. They have their own tastes, yet still acknowledge Quake has always been the series that exemplifies challenge and depth to the competitive or professional player.I use normal sounds and no bright skins. Using those 'cheap' sounds that give an advantage to people, so you claim, would only hinder my sound knowledge and my ability as a player. I would say that should shed some light upon the gap between you and someone actually good, but I doubt you'd ever get it. Chances are your average ra2 player modifies q2 far more than I do, which is practically none other than higher quality textures.I do agree though, you are like the stereotypical bottm-of-the-barrel console fps player.
Futhermore, you keep saying "occupation". It's not an occupation.
Also, here's a few more key points here(I have this habit of just glancing at the posts from people like 2dum and feeling I got the jist of it):the play function that requires the proper function for q2 timers is disabled in USA. When vae says he "timed" megahealth, it's just because he substracted 20 seconds from the gameclock after his mega depleted to 100. additionally, good players will catch on to the <100h noise from their enemy and know to look at the gameclock to subtract 20 seconds for MH timing, with the circumstance of knowing/estimating the amount of damage taken from the said hit and the amount of MH they possess.There's so much more to this game than you even realize, but you prefer to assume the other person is to blame for your own suckitude. You don't even have your settings right which I've told you before and tried to assist you with. Even your movement and weapon binds hinder you(show people your config, 2dum, lmao).

Killstreak bonuses=ra2? You don't spawn with fucking 10 weapons either, you get one weapon that you have to choose out of different classes. I must of also missed the part where any kind of rocket and strafe jumping takes place in CoD as well. Are all your arguments this fundamentally flawed?
