The game got huge!!


Highlights:

  Got the game up to 11 v 11 Saturday Night ! ! !
  Played maps 27, 26, 9, 10, 11, 24, dakyne
  Safe to say 30+ people showed up at different times 
  The Server was 1 shy of MAXING out at 24 participants 
  Ra2 topped the goto list for the majority of the night! 
  New and Moderately New Participants joined in tonight: Krez, ni-ux, javaman, miro, chaos, tanl1ne, deathjump, cygnus, palace gerbil, Pile0g00, Yokoshima, etc)
  haunted FINALLY made an appearance, but the pansy didn't play... and dervish is still missing or hiding aliased
 





Admin Issues / Negativity:
  With Ra2 Growing, today we reached a point where the server limit of 24 players may need to be adjusted for future participants who would like to join in and play. I am requesting the limit be increased to 36

  Continual Map voting was once again an issue today and caused several players to disconnect out of frustration. The game shrunk from 11 v 11 to 6 v 6 once the nonsense started.  To pinpoint the individuals responsible, RICK and KILLO initiated several votes that were vetoed multiple times (only after asking everyone to vote no) while maps were not even 1/2 way complete. Eventually people got tired of voting, and the maps started changing... The selfishness and the unending obnoxious comments put a damper on the mood and the game play. I am posting a poll in regards to this issue to guage public opinon, but I believe rick and killo's voting rights should be temporarily suspended. Please vote in the poll at the top of the page regarding this issue.

  A reminder: to spec, hit tab-->create new team-->scroll down to mapname-->do not press enter -->press backspace
  be sure to set spectator 0 !!! a spectator 1 setting will prevent you from joining the server
  Upon joining, most players just need to press the TAB button and join pick up red or blue! Do not create your own team unless you want to spectate or play in a minimap. If tab fails to work, locate the key thats binded to "inven" or bind a new one!

it'd be great to actually get an objective explanation of what's happening with these votes, that has nothing to do with assuming the intent behind the vote proposer or assuming that the person complaining is a cry baby...or something.

(I already know what's happening likely.....i'm referring to the chances of one's explanation being taken seriously)

I had to wait ~5 minutes to join because the server was full. So it definitely maxed at one point or another.

If it were up to me I'd have a poll on which maps should be in the rotation, and then disable map voting altogether; but that's mainly because I like playing maps all the way through and being able to see the final score at the end.

I think there should be only a rotation of the top maps played. However, there needs to be some way of having the map changed easily in certain situations.

For example, one of the reasons people were trying to vote maps last night was because it was fucking 11 VS 11. There are only certain maps even worth playing with that many people and ra2 was never intended to by played with those numbers. That's also why some other people were trying to split off into a separate 4v4 scrim. ra2 is already a spam mod, and 11 vs 11 while fun, is going to have an insane amount of spam.

rofl, here ya go again 2d, doing WHATEVER you can to try to get me banned.  The reason and ONLY reason kill and I were trying to vote map11 was because it was 11VS11 YOU DUMB SHIT.  We havent gotten to play ANY of the bigger/cool maps we used to because you cannot even do 6on6 on em without em being too big.  Here you are, with your slanderous rubble, trying so hard.  sad man.  There is already a map voting restriction in place to someone who votes a map, and it gets declined.  I have to wait like 600-700 mins before I could vote again.  So spamming it, not.  What Ely said is what I've tried to get for a very long time now and gave up, was a server that had the top maps played and only allowed in the rotation, guarantee map voting will never be an issue again. 


Also, Golgo and 2Dum got their shit PUSHED in last night in ra2 by me doug and phil.  It was glorious watching 2d stay near the bottom of the scoreboard most of the night while my 2high ass was just bouncing around in a field of flowers and playing quake 2.  Get mad cuz bad, son.

Anyone that has a complaint with what's going on at these ra2 nights: post a freakin' condump. If there's a problem, then there's a problem.. and it'll be resolved. It's as simple as that.

 We play the same maps week in and week out and we haven't had a crowd like that show in a while, and Rick and I simply wanted a map that WE never get to play because we stick to the same maps it seems as if everyone forgets there is a lot of good maps in the rotation but they're never played, I know Rick and I weren't the only ones voting maps and we certainly weren't spamming votes, hell theres restrictions that wont let you even and everyone knows that, What do you care anyways 2dum whatever map you're on you get beat up on at anyway  so don't be so upset about the situation. we had a good night and fragged hard and you get all butt hurt about some map votes and act as if Rick and I were the only ones voting them, I think the problems something else, Munther GET A LIFE and make me 1 grapes slushy k thnx

there will be no impartial vote here. there are more that not, those that are on a friendly basis with him.  even killo started talking shit to me, when i never even spoke to him before. it's expected though, i catch flak from people that barely play the game, let alone even spoke to. so those players are of the same mindset. The poll won't do anything. a condump from how frequent the votes were are your best bet. also elysium has alot of street cred here, so that might be worth something.

I've seen Killo play and win at least 100 times more than I've ever seen gaygo even ready up on a team, on a server with other players.

Here's a thing to think about gump: Maybe he doesn't like you for the same reason lots of other people here don't like you? Maybe it's not some people banding together to hate you, and it's really just lots of people hating your stupid ass all on their own? Ever think of that? I doubt you have.

pps: I've played in this event before as a couple others can confirm and every time 2dum shows up and its all he can do to push a mapvote so he can immediately try to join the stacked team. Then, he's predictably still a big fat coward and lets them do all the lifting while he hides and in the off chance that they all die, he attempts to rack up some frags on the people his teammates already knocked the health and armor off of.

This is exactly how you get a scoreboard where 2dum isn't on the bottom, and all told it makes the event less fun so I don't stick around for that gay crap.
