Technically speaking, you could just say "I tried to record a demo, and ran out of hard drive space," and the result would be the same.

But thanks for being up front about it.

I'd estimate the demo file size will probably be somewhere around 10 to 15 megs? Probably not more than 20 megs.

Just curious, what size hard drive do you have on your system?

Cool, thanks. Looks like you should have plenty of space to record the demo, zip-compress it, and upload it here... then you could (of course) immediately delete it?

I'm sure you should be able to make some space for it, heres an example.. Copy all the maps except q2dm8 to a temporary space, then you should have plenty of space. If you really can't record a demo, then it is fine. I mostly want to do demo's so everyone that wasn't there can see how it went. And also make clips of 'best of' frags, etc.

if you COPY all the maps to a temporary space (??) then wouldn't he have even less room on his hard drive?

Part of the reasoning was that players need to record demos, so the demos are available if questions of some form of botting came up, and the demo needed to be sent in for review.

So for that reason I still think all participants should record demos. . . . even if many of them might go unwatched.
