Format will be 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 depending on number of sign ups.

You can't sign up for anyone else. If Player X wants to play in the CUP then Player X has to be a member of the forum.
We've tried player A signing up for player X before and it just didn't work.

Not sure of a deadline for signups, I'll just wait and see how many people signup in a timely fashion.

Don't worry about replying with your availability or if you want to be a player or a sub, just reply.

BTW to everyone, these cups are always fun as hell.  The competition is damn fine, lot more than the pub ctf games usually go, so anyone who wants to, sign up.

Should be a little more specific in the rules and event info. This seems like a draft cup(individual people sign up and are either seeded or randomly sorted into teams), yet I see no obvious indication of that... no biggie though.  although personally, I'd actually enter something like this if I could choose my teammates ;>

To be fair, the teams are usually balanced via individual skill level of the players so that there isn't the *cough* stacking issue, haunted. 

You should sign up anyway though, there's some really good players still, always fun as shit.

stacking was the last thing i had on my mind. i just don't like having to babysit teammates(phrase stolen from adren). that's true across skill levels though, which is why I wasn't thinking about stacking at all. it's just cool to have teammates that you have played with or can at least have some sort of plan or understanding among things.

That's fair.  I've noticed it becomes a problem when people choose their teammates usually, because all the good players huddle up on one or two teams and the rest are basically there as time-killers while the top team(s) vie for the last round.

You'd be surprised.  For damn sure if T! and h0ps sign up.  Hell, even ksoul is pretty damn good nowadays.

I know there are several(i would say many but the q2 scene is dead) that would prevent me from stacking a team in CTF, rofl, that was a joke. but the very few times I've played q2 ctf it was with the likes of h0ps, dahang, deft, etc... so no one would be surprising me.

Would it be the olden days, that you would be the best option. Now in this day none could stand up to Hops, T! and neox togheter. Therefore Hops is paired with middly retarded players or 55+ year old players like last time

It's like having no salary cap in basketball or something, all the good players will gravitate to the same team,  wait that already happens even with a salary cap.  The way the teams are selected currently  it looks more like football. Anyway if you display strong leadership skills you should not have a problem to lead your team with Voice Mumble and coordinate everybody.

You are free to comment as you please. As the most knowledgeable player in CTF I thought you would like to join and demonstrate how broken the mod is by using it's fatal flaws to your advantage.

That's right I play a lot of regular ctf, I can cope with all it's "flaws".  I have no intention to start playing a different ctf mod tailored to an eccentric player's need.
