Anyway, since there seems to be no interest in having news at tastyspleen...

Personally I'm interested, but interest has to translate into action somehow...

This forum software allows specifying who can edit news, but all it seems to do is display the most recent item at the top of the page. I must be missing something, because you can edit a list of news items. Not sure where one would see the whole list though.

The alternative would be to run some CMS software, or wiki, or something...

I'm really just trying to think of ways bring more attention to our corner of the internet. I love this game, and I'd like to see tastyspleen continue to grow and attract more players as time goes on, and I thought this might be one possible way of doing it.

Best way I would say to get to that goal would be to have people here write articles for other places to publish.  IE Quadz submitting articles about setting up & hosting Q2 servers and submit it to several sites for publication (moddb, mine, server hosting sites/forums, etc).  Make the news instead of report it.  There's not as much news as I'd like to report, but I can't be everywhere, so if you're looking at just TS news it wouldn't be very active.  Widen to Q2 and you get more, widen to whole series you get more, etc.  The biggest complaint I got at PQ & and wants for EQ is competition news.  I'm not interested in competitions and nobody wants(ed for PQ) to write stuff up and submit it to me.   The most popular article on my site is the Railwarz review, I'm assuming because railwarz fans are linking it in various places. 

If someone here wanted to post Q2 news all the time I could give them access on my site to do that.  I try to get stuff I see posted here on the site but I don't see everything.  :/  DAMN ONLY TWO EYES AND THE NEED FOR FOOD AND SLEEP!
