2x Xeon L5335 @ 2.00GHz, 8 cores total.  12 GB RAM.  3 TB/month bandwidth.

So, mostly out of curiosity, was this guy initially half-muted for talking trash? Because I never witnessed him spamming the server or doing anything else to merit it and I usually saw him around most nights when I'd go on to play (he sometimes greeted me with 'fuck you elysium', which I thought was kind of funny).

I'm not trying to defend his behavior or anything, but if just getting on other players nerves is a mutable offense then I'd imagine 1/3 of this community would begin to qualify for one as well.

Yeah, you're right, there should be no rules at all. Let's all act as fucktarded as 2dum and this place will be much nicer. And while we're at it, since we don't need rules or protocol, we'll all cheat like hell with aimbots and wallhacks right after we ban everyone who DOESN'T act like a total shithead to everyone for no reason. To make it short and sweet... The rules are:
No racist/hate speech.
No evading bans.
No cheating or hacking.
No deliberate crashing of servers with exploits or other attacks.
No prolonged disruptive behavior on the servers with "excessive" shit talk or by exploiting wallfly or use of excessive chat binds, etc.

I think that pretty much sums up the established rules for gameplay around here. Talking shit is fine, but when it goes ON AND ON AND ON AND ON FOREVER AND EVER and it repeatedly disrupts the game for everyone else, then it's a problem and something must be done to remedy it. 2dum was a fucking problem. People join up, and with no provocation 2dum would start ripping into them with disrespectful remarks. Everyone else wishes to have a nice friendly game. Why should anyone respect the fact that he wants to continue to be able to use the chat function in game when he can't respect anyone else? This is how the fucking world works. Are you two just now finding this out?

I was getting assaulted by these and others in mutual combat. After continuous escalation, they would go on to change their names to mock me (Gay2DUM) (DOG2BUM) (Gay2BUM) etc etc, and then they would change their names to match mine exactly and talk shit with it (God2dum: I am gay)

I retaliated by doing the same thing......but guess what happened.........i got reported.......and Dr. Admin over here restricts my name. I have yet to see any restriction or action being done on them to this day. (Maybe its because I do not snitch on players for talking shit, no matter how fierce or hot it gets. In the end its all talk. But i guess by not being a snitch, I accepted the punishment.....but it really is just poor admin-ing) From that point on, I took the gloves off. Who cares about what someone else does? You are responsible for yourself alone, as long as YOU are doing nothing, how can it be your fault. And if you get muted for doing nothing at all, THEN I would see a problem.
