Hook trouble

When using the standard hook "+hook" in WOD, it "stutters". What's happening is that I have my hook bound to a keyboard key and if I hold it down, it repeats the same as my Windows keyboard repeat rate. If I bind it to, say, mouse2, it works fine. Any ideas on how to override the keyboard repeat rate when in the game? BTW, the lithium hook works fine, it's just the regular hook that I'm having trouble with.

That is odd.  I just tried that method out on my keyboard.  I bound the key z to +hook and press the key and it throws out the hook and locks and once I push the key again the hook unlocks.  By regular hook you mean the old school Tarzan rope?

These commands are in my Autoexec.cfg...

alias +hook "hook action; wait; hook shrink"
alias -hook "hook stop"
alias +shrink "hook shrink"
alias -shrink "hook stop"
alias +grow "hook grow"
alias -grow "hook stop"

Maybe that is what you need for the hook to work properly.  Or not..  LOL

Thanks for the reply. I have those commands in my autoexec.cfg. Oh, and yes. I'm talking about the Tarzan hook.
