I think you fail to realize that this is more about Fader than it is about Razor at this point. Razor has been proven to be just the middle man as in previous cases, and usually they don't even get as a severe sentence as the perpetrators directly behind the attacks. I know you'll miss Fader trolling you, but most of us find it annoying and immature. I don't know what your logic behind trolling is, but it's not something to take comfort in or enjoy, or even instrumental in the growth of any community but only it's decline. Perhaps you're saying you like this troll's company because you yourself are a troll at heart? You have something to learn from him? Or is it because you need someone to take some of the heat off you?

Sorry but I don't operate like this, I have certain goals I need to meet by certain time, and this time I'm out of patience and nearly out of time. Ask your self why all the other mods aren't around anymore? Was there a certain point in time that the cons just outweighed the pros of keeping it going? I have more important things than having to constantly deal with Fader related issues once/if he returns. Not sure how you run your server, but I'm trying to run one that actually has players on it, and attracts more, not repels them. It keeps attacks from trolls like Fader out, so regular players can have fun and play in peace, not trolls! Did Fader launch a deliberate attack on your server? NO! You're not left with the repercussions of this punk's actions or the possibility of him coming back to re-offend! I don't think you've even taking into account the evidence, but ignoring it, just rambling on as in the past. The EVIDENCE is there, and directly implicates Fader as the perpetrator and mastermind behind this attack! So what are you doing here talking out of your ass? Do you wan't to get on my bad side as well? This matter is not your concern! It's no joke to me, like it might be to you! It also needs to be dealt with seriously this time and once in for all. I don't know if you realize this or not, but right now you're just interfering and adding to the flame started by these trolls! Fader's IP and signature is all over the logs flooding the whale server for a an hour longer than Razor and here you're telling me and everyone on here: that you know better how it happened, and that he only had some limited connection, involvement, or knowledge of what was taking place? What kind of deranged detective are you, one that ignores evidence? Do you have some secret love interest to be defending Fader that I don't know about? It's clear you don't know Fader's devious side as well as I do, who's held a grudge against me for years. He has not gotten over his ban even till this day, or even given up trying to get back at me for it. Razor on the other hand has nothing against me really, no motive, no inside information, and my involvement with him only extends to 2 indirect private messages. I've never even seen him on my server before yesterday. He's not the one caught admitting guilt or monitoring the show and having a blast on IRC, it was Fader!

Please stay the hell out of this, since nobody asked you to give your verdict, account of events, or even comment how long you think he should be banned for! You weren't there! A few months ban? I'm sorry, but this only shows how out of touch with reality you are! And probably the reason why nobody plays on your server! Geez, if only quadz listens to you, more servers on his beloved TS will mirror this sad state.

I for one believe spawn girl started out with the right intentions, and at one point was contributing more than anyone on the Xatrix community, until a certain unnamed group of trolls just drove her over the edge.

No one is "driven" over the edge, they make the choice to allow themselves to be escorted right up to the edge, and then they make the decision to jump on their own. It's the internet. Everyone has the option to ignore "trolls". If they don't, whatever happens is just as much their own fault as anyone elses involved.

Besides, that bitch was crazy as hell to begin with. It took literally NOTHING to light the fuse on her tampon. I was probably the first person to start talking to her when she showed up. Back then, I was the leader of clan EoM and I invited her to join. She did. And then about a day or 2 later Spawngirl, [EoM]Processor, and I were all playing FFA on the vanilla server and I happened to frag her... because it's FFA after all, it's not a TEAM based mod. She went NUTS on me. She was calling me all kinds of names to Processor, just flipping the ever-loving fuck out over it. She was under the impression that clans weren't supposed to shoot at one another, basically thinking that the whole point of EoM was to be like a clan like CRU or something, where they all team camp and gay it up, which is AGAINST good sportsmanship, a stated goal that all normal clans, including [EoM], strive for. So after that, she decided to tell everyone in EoM to fuck off and then she attempted to join CRU. Not really sure what happened there, but I think maybe she was a member of that one for a day or two before she flipped out on them too for something stupid and they told her to fuck off.

Of course then there was the time that she had her OWN clan she had started, and she got into some stupid argument with someone about something, and without consulting ANYONE ELSE in the clan (she had maybe 8-10 loyal members total), she had a little bitch-fit and deleted the clan forums and basically disbanded the clan. Never mind the fact that the other 8 or so loyal members of the clan didn't WANT to dissolve the clan, but because she wasn't getting her Little Miss Princess way, she pulled the plug on the clan and kinda pissed everyone else off that was in the clan even though they had NO PART AT ALL in whatever issue she was having.

That's the type of spoiled little cunt she was. Honestly, she deserves no pity at all. Whatever happened with her was ALL her own fault.

Well all I can say is that this really sucks in huge proportions in multiple different variants.

First off, Golgo is posting like he's a person, that's amazing and depressing simultaneously.  Second, ruiner is on a fire-and-brimstone crusade against people who really don't dislike him (me) and seems hellbent on slamming them with the pulpit.  Last, Spawngirl was fucking insane, I'm surprised anyone wants to ever bring her up again...unless like others have said, she has some relevance to this thread...or maybe that she is possibly posting in it somehow.

This sock puppet idea is a non-starter. This sort of thing is a pastime for Razor. He's attacked my servers using the same tool in the past. Indeed, one of his prior attacks prompted a discussion between r1ch and myself, and good guy r1ch produced a new build of r1q2 server providing a cvar option to mitigate the effectiveness of the attack on rcon's responsiveness.


The recent chat between Fader and Razor probably went something like this:

In any case, what is known for certain^(*) is that Fader participated in the rcon attack. And that's sufficient to justify a ban.

(* UDP src IP could be spoofed; but Fader has admitted taking part.)


As to the duration of the ban, I'll be taking that up with the other TS admins.

My opinion is that prior to this rcon attack, Faders shenannigans have been stupid / ill advised / etc., but not exceptionally egregious or harmful. To overextend the baseball metahpor used earlier in the thread, prior to the rcon attack I'd say he'd hit some foul balls and kicked some dirt on the umpire's shoes. An rcon attack definitely crosses the line: unsportsmanlike conduct, ejection from game.

If/when the ban is lifted, I will at that time need to feel convinced that he intends no further such disruptions. He won't get multiple additional chances.

razor repeatedly on a consistent basis broke the rules. console was very tolerate and gave him temp bans. until he couldn't put up it with the constant abuses. fast forward to present. years later. console knew razor was secretly connecting and let him stay under different names. now console banned his IP's for good.

I certainly still recall the days when Razor was a harmless goofball uploading custom maps to the mutant server.

The subsequent history of Razor's descent into douchebaggery is almost certainly still chronicled somewhere on the forum, as is the record of the admin decisions at the time.

Since the point Razor achieved perma-ban status years ago, the only way he's been able to connect to the game servers is via ban evasion (dynamic subnets, new ISPs, proxies.)

Your use of the phrase, "now console banned his IP's for good," indicates you are out of touch with how banning works in the fractured v4 address space of the modern internet.

If I suspect someone may be evading a ban, I may make certain decisions for tactical / information gathering purposes.  That is all.
