just curious on whats the word with the prizes as of now.. since theres 2 brackets will the sport bracket winners be getting any prizes? and what prizes will the pro bracket winners get? didn't see any official prize list so i thought id ask.

so far its admin of a server for one month... one tastyspleen, and another one I forget now.
and an mp3 player put up by someone... its in a thread around here somewhere.

well i was going to donate the mp3 player, but it wouldnt be fair with it being 2vs2...how would u decide who gets what? we need 2 of the same prizes for them, and I dont think giving them a server of their own is useful, as they will have to have ppl play on it, and probably spend the first week learning commands...the money would be better than the server.

I'd love to offer prizes, but I can't really afford it... It already costs $$$ to run the servers...

All of the prizes in the previous tourney (except for the T-shirts, of which I have a few size XL left) were donated by other players or admins.

Web advertising doesn't do much unless you have hundreds of thousands of users hitting your web site, as far as I know. I don't understand how it works at all, actually.

I click on maybe 1 or 2 ads a year... and half of those are by accident.

you should put google ads up.. they find the right ads for the visitor's interests and they are clicked way more often than the other click advertisers meaning you get more money! and thx for fixing tourney discussion forum, maybe someone can move this thread to there?

1) The admins already provide everything for free. Any money from ads should go to support hosting and admin time, not for tourney prizes. Personally, I like advertisement free sites.

2) Like previous times, people can volunteer to contribute prizes. I did last time. - OR - we could have an entry fee, but that is a pain to manage and I'd prefer to have more players than have prizes. Maybe for Pro.. I suppose sending money could be optional, with the prize money going to the highest ranked paying player.
