Man the new version crashes a bunch, way too much in fact. Any insight as to the cause or a fix for the problem? Like I said, I like the insta gib mod, reminds me of velocity.net a few years ago. just needs a few tweaks to stop the crash/reset.

Yeah,

I wish it would be courteous and at least write some kind of error message to the logfile when it dies-- but nothing.

And it dies on seemingly random maps.

Regrettably I don't have much time to futz with it... if it's too annoying as-is, i can put the previous mod back on.

nooooo...i can deal with the crashes, it only is out for a few seconds when it does. i like this mod too much, i can deal with it.

The error is a WSAE connect error or some sort. I think one time happened when i tried to GOTO a different server and the railz server crashed a second later.

btw anyone lagging with the recent change to insta? ive switched out my router, directly hooked up the cable modem to the comp, switched bt r1q2 and 3.20 but to no avail. a ping to the server shows nothing out of the ordinary... any suggestions out there?

if u have highspeed set your rate to 12000, i helped a few people lagging like 200-400 to return to their original ping that way.

Have you noticed if the crashes occur at or right after map changes. OSP has a bug in it that causes it to crash on certain maps (we couldnt use certain maps on tourney due to this issue) and the source code isnt available to be able to go fix it with.

Not sure if this is the cause but would ask for you to note when the crashes occur.
