Are there overpowered guns on WODX or not, that is the question?

I think the cruise missile would be my vote. It's nearly indefensible. I would like to see either an easier way to find the offender (he's practically invisible), or better yet, a way to shoot it down.

I like the idea of making Cruise Missile vulnerable to small arms fire, sure.
It'll be considered in the next release.

I think the cruise missile is way too powerful.

I used to play a lot of classic WOD. I really enjoy the guns ported over to WOD-X from things like chaos and generations. That's awesome. But what's now missing is the clear separation between 2 classes of weapons.

First class is just any standard weapon. They're fun to use one on one. They kill people fast and follow a lot of interesting mechanics. Examples: mini-rockets, snipergun, classic freezer, chainsweeper.

The second class are weapons that just clear the room and generally can't be defended. Example: Nuke.

Now this separation is kind of gone. There's a huge portion of nuke class weapons that are easily available. In WOD collecting cells to activate your super blaster while you wait for the rail or rocket room fights to die down was a real and fun strategy. Nukes were few and hard to come by. Now everytime you turn a corner you have a 20% chance of being nuked by any one of the bazillion huge weapons. Removing all of the first class of weapons would go unnoticed.

Anyway that's my rant and I see the difference between WOD and WOD-X, I'm just hoping

I hate the smasher because it doesn't require real aiming and people can whore you into a corner really badly with it. If it only did ~10 damage then at least you could fight back or run away.

Being able to shoot the stinger/cruise missiles would be great.

IEDs can be a real pain too. It bugs me that for a minimal investment (1 grenade + some cells) people can just shart out an IED that can't be harmlessly defused. Maybe find a way to make it so you can't place them within a telepad area too.

The gravity stuff needs to allow you to teleport out of it. I don't think that's unreasonable because it would be the only way to survive and seems like the sort of situation the teleporter was made for.

BTW, smasher could be tweaked a little more I guess. It used to be the most abused gun, especially by Groovetoob.
Next release you'll be able to shoot down the Cruise missile for sure.
How would you suggest harmlessly defusing IEDs?
We can have a vote on the other stuff.

Actually, I used to abuse the smasher (got the idea from watching GroovToob lol). Since you have already toned it down, I really think it's just this side of useless now. Even with the power rune, you don't get a kill with the first hit (unlike before). As far as IEDs, if I'm not mistaken, you're limited to two, right? Other than that, they're pretty easy to avoid. Just look for the flies LOL Heck, some of the peeps (Rema, that bastage) are really good with them. Put them right next to an ammo bag. Gets me every time. (I hate that guy

How about an auto targeting Gauss Pistol? Good weapon to have around IEDs..My 2 cents

We do have an auto-targeting arc cannon but you need to find it first.
So perhaps a weak auto-pistol available by default might do wonders in the mine clearing department.

Could make it so that IEDs and tripmines made with fire grenades wouldn't deploy if you shot them, but all the rest would. That would give a bump to the value of the more expensive options.
