I'm pretty sure that's a pheasant. A "cock" is a rooster.

Since year before last, I see them pretty regularly around my place now. Had one come strutting by the fishing pond out back while I was fishing a year or two ago. At first I thought one of my neighbors roosters had gotten loose. When I realized what it was, I went tearing around the pond after it with my big buck skinning knife. I was gonna tackle the sumbitch, cut it's head off, and eat it. My neighbor probably thought I was fucking crazy, but who cares, free mature pheasant is worth acting like a retard over, lol. Of course I didn't get it, closest I got was maybe 10 feet from it, but shit, it was worth a shot. Haven't seen any out there this winter and fall though, had about 6 or 8 geese claiming turf on the pond. Those annoying bastards have kept the wild ducks away too. Making shitloads of noise in the mornings and shitting everywhere. I imagine they've laid a few eggs somewhere out there. Hopefully the neighbors dog found them and ate them.

About the picture caption... I ain't feelin' this one too much. Something something about wearing latex rubbers when handling cock and it not working cuz she's obviously knocked up... that's all I got.

Pheasant is like peacock except better. quail > pigeon / pheasant / dove(i don't even waste my time shooting them, though) / farm raised duck > brackish water drinking skinny ass duck > brant breast > goose/swan... in a nutshell that's the order for foul/game taste, for me. I excluded cornish hens on purpose because I don't even know where you'd hunt those bastards, plus it's like a better tasting chicken haha, unfair comparison kind of. Through farm raised duck in there, although not game, because I'd rather have that than just about anything.
