Hi, I was just wondering which books you liked...you could share it here (by posting a link on amazon or posting a short review maybe) it could interest me and I'll pick up a copy somewhere.
Personnaly I recently re-read (read it for the first time 8 years ago) The alienist by Caleb Carr. I think it was a good read even though the end could have been a little better. Still an entertaining book.

Right now I'm currently reading Cat's cradle by Kurt Vonnegut. I have about 50 pages read so I can't really comment on it but so far so good.

Please share your suggestions. Thanks

The Dave Pelzer series, they were truly shocking, and very... hard to put my finger on it, but the books are kind of shocking, they're about a boy (himself, the author) who was abused as a child by his alcoholic mother, lives in a broken home and she does torturous things to him, beats him, bathes him in acid, does horrid things to him but he learns to wise up to his mothers mind games, and eventually (theres 3 books) he gets out of the hell hole and gets help and a life, but after years of beating and shit he has to put up with it, you really symphasise with the guy, and it makes you think how lucky you were in your childhood, the author is called "Dave Pelzer" and the books are: A boy called IT.. and it was too long ago I read them to recall correctly, but a google search should find them, truly inspirational read and I highly reccomend grabbing ahold of a copy.. might make you realise alot of things about your own life that make it seem like theres not much we can moan about these days.

I've heard about those books, my girlfriend told me about those when she was reading Oliver Twist and some other book I don't remember at the moment. She also mentionned those 3 books. Maybe some day I'll read them. Thx.

My second home.
Considering I work nights and stare at shelves for 80% of the time I'm there,I've come to REALLY appreciate a good audiobook.Get a good reader and a book comes alive. And for about $25 a month you can get any 2 they have and they even give you a player for free to listen to them with.I got all of the Terry Pratchett Discworld books,George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire books(now up to the 4th in the series) and countless others.

Dune, Thomas Covenant series, Tolkien, etc... the Riverworld series by Phillip Jose farmer was pretty good, Stephen King (Some not all)...
right now what is perched on my nightstand is the 911 commission report, Al Franken - lying liars and the lies they tell or something like that, Harry Potter 3, and a book called "The Tipping Point" - this is the dissection of fads and contagiousness - very cool social commentary. As a newspaper editor I find this truly riveting.
more later...
peace

I've read 2 interesting books, one called 'God Stalk' and the other 'Voyage to the city of the dead'. They were just books that I've had lying around for years. I prefer sci-fi or mystery novels, more serious than comedic novels also.

Good books:
The Hunt For Red October
Red Storm Rising
Cardinal of the Kremlin
All by tom clancy.
They're nothing fancy, but they're a lot of fun to read.

If you like the fantasy genre you should check out "The Great Book of Amber" by Roger Zelazny.
