Actually, the simplified version I like is getting McDonald's, Whataburger, or Carl's Jr. fries and then going to KFC and getting some brown gravy.  I love living in the city where all these restaurants are within a quarter mile of eachother. 

The other stuff sounds pretty gross in it, but simplified Poutine is incredible.  Instead of pork, I like to put shredded pot roast on mine.

Of course, substituting brown gravy with a homemade butter, Velveeta, and cream sauce is the best of the best.  With the pot roast it makes it hard to ever go back to eating plain fries.
