you might want to clarify your intentions at the very least, to assist the process along.

do you want tdm server admin? tdm board admin on forum?

some form of limitted referee status on the tdm servers as a trial of your abilities and demeanor?

etc..

help them help you.

Well, I know people would just take is as a joke, and I'm not really expecting any support on my end. I know the chances of me ending up with admin on all TS servers is about the same as me winning the lottery twice and being hit by a meteor in the same day, so I'm not really going for that.

I WOULD however, volunteer for limited referee status on the tourney servers; and seeing as how people like kickro or haunted barely play (at least not as much as some people) it would be a step in the right direction to get some new admins going.
I know all the basics of being a referee (or admin {warnings before any mute or kick that happens}) And since I'm on much more and can easily be contacted, how much harm can a simple trial run be?

If quadz doesn't think that I'm fit to be an admin, then that's fine by me, he definitely knows what he's doing, and I'd respect his decision. I'm not telling people what to think or anything, I'm just saying I'd be at least a decent admin if given the smallest chance.

In the very limitted arena of NA tdm you have been one of the most active players over the last year and unlike some of the other venues you frequent, you haven't been a shit disturber and you seem to try to facilitate actual matches getting played and people focusing on the game and not other baloney.

In light of that, and your clarifying post, I change my nonbinding vote to Yes: give fader a chance with very tight controls to use refereee status when needed if it's not a pain in the butt to do.

Oh, and I know I'm not some admin master who's had admin on everything and a half like haunted; I've never really adminned anything before. But then again, everyone has to start somewhere, right?

another quicky:

How would you forsee yourself applying referee powers the majority of the time:

shoving non-readying players to spec? changing maps? enforcement of spectator chat rules?

Are there specific issues that you regularly see on the tdm servers that are not being met in a timely fashion with administrative action?

Well, mostly aliases on noalias, and people who disrupt the game when we're trying to do something.

ex. Me and hunter tried to duel on t4, but these 2 polish guys just came in and forced us off the team demanding 2v2s and wouldn't leave after we politely asked them to spec up, so we had to find another server that didn't even have kduel1 on it (The map hunter wanted to play.)

As for non readying players and mm2, things have been pretty quiet recently, but things like those are always bound to come up in the future.
