Seems to me I know what you did.  I can't really fathom the logic as to why, though.

My understand of the "what" was essentially this:

i know people who use a different alias everyday just to be left alone. i am sure you are a good example of that to hide on the servers so people don't hound you about admin stuff. but if it takes me to say i am alpha to get unbanned then yes i am alpha

When I change my alias and my skin, several players figure out who I am within a map or two by my play style and my ping.  The Q2 community is too small to expect to be able to hide a unique personal style behind an alias for very long.  As you are presumably now becoming aware.

Unlike you, however, I've never had to retire any of my aliases.  Because I don't act like a jackass.

i don't see what the big deal is about who i am or am not. people deny their true identity everyday just by using different aliases.

None of the admins would have cared if you changed aliases.  Here is where you fucked up:

By engaging in that level of douchebaggery, your actions obligate me to perform investigative research, and you are attempting dupe me into being an unwitting participant in your deception.

If your goal is to piss me off, you probably won't find a whole lot of more effective ways than that.

As for the "why"... I have no idea why you would claim you wanted to change aliases "to be left alone", and then acted like this on the new alias:

   Apology not accepted. Clearly defining the reason to your actions can allow us to better understand the nature of your mental illness. Telling people  to just forget about it and play q2 is not going to happen. Man up and discuss the reasons behind the mountains of lies that were told on a daily basis for months, the hours of wasted time quadz put into proving what the community had already agreed upon . Provide some reasoning for this mess of shit you found yourself rolling in.

You can't force anyone to apologise. We all know it. The thread was started because I genuinely miss playing with Alpha. This community is full of characters. You take the good with the bad. It is what it is. Forgive and forget. Or at least move on.

Shame.  Another Elppen situation. Another q2 "friend" lost. Unfortunate.

I think you can do anything on tastyspleen and still be accepted and an enjoyable player to play with... except directly piss off quadz by making him do a bunch of meaningless crap or hack (which happens to invoke the former).

Both of those get the community mad at you and get the ban hammer targeted your way. But short of those two things, it's very free and open here and quadz is awesome for that.

I pretty much agree with travolta, but ya can't accept an apology that's non-existent. That was the point of my initial post.

I would like to see him learn how to say "i f***ed up, I was an idiot, my bad", or something on the lines of that. His personality doesn't know how to be wrong from what I've seen. Not sure I even want to hear any of his insight as to why he did it...tbh, watching him struggle with a simple, direct I'm sorry(or lack of) despite encouragement tells me a lot. Downplays any possible apology in the future as well.

Oh well though, we all make our own choices.

You never "ask" anyone to like you... you just change your name and internet provider a bunch of times to fool people into not DISLIKING you, right? Meh, fuck it, I don't think you even NEED to explain it to anyone anymore. We're not fucking stupid, we can figure out why whether you say it or not. If a bunch of people are disliking you to the point where you have to change your name and become someone else, maybe you should figure it out that YOU are doing something wrong somewhere. You've gotten a little heavily involved in the games shit-talk for probably quite a few people to ignore anymore. If I recall correctly, I think that was a big part of why iR decided to dismiss you. When it comes to shit-talk around here, there's probably an unwritten rule about a certain pecking order. Most people are generally cool and don't take the competition of the game all that serious. They may have a few choice words and complaints against someone for a little bit, but on the whole they have a good enough attitude about things that they don't dwell on the shit that happens in the game too long. They probably even act friendly with that other person again after a little while. Then there are the OTHER select few who just can't seem to get along with people no matter what because just in general... they are a difficult, stubborn, asshole. As far as I can tell, these types of people think it will show as a glaring and embarrassing weakness to the rest of the herd if they ever admit that they were wrong about anything at all. They will continue on with their position well past the point of return. It's like they feel it would be more shameful to admit their mistakes to others and to themselves than to abandon their stubborn position on the issue while being tarred and feathered in front of everyone. It's fucking pathetic how these types of people have can such an unwavering sense of loyalty to their own egos but know nothing of loyalty for anyone and anything else.

So if you don't want to apologize to anyone else or to me, that's fine by me. It wouldn't do any good anyway. I've got you pegged for what you are, and have for quite a while now. I'm of the opinion that humans past their teenage years aren't usually capable of changing their behaviors. About the only thing you can do to turn anything around or fix anything is to change what you do and how you act in the future. 1 pound of change is worth 50 tons of remorse and apologies.
