afaik, that texture is used in the map editor but due to surface properties in q2 never shows in-game in the map.

I uploaded the e1u1/black texture and renamed to caulk.wal on my servers a while back because when testing the beta versions it was coming back that the texture was unavailable for download upon connecting.

Ah... I wonder if it might be this orange texture that appears outside the map (attached pic).

I'll just leave the 5k texture from the rc1, then....

Yep, I took that black caulk texture from Whirling. The original is bright pink (like in that screenshot, but just looks orange there because of the sky light) to be able to be seen easier in the editor camera view, thus easier to spot glitches in the geometry. Black makes it less obvious in the game when visible. I was going to make it function like caulk should, which would help boost performance and compile time, alas it's not possible in Q2. I should have converted it to a plain standard texture before releasing the map but I forgot about it :/ There always has to be something not right. I can upload another version that gets rid of the caulk texture if needed?

BTW, your rc1 version of this map was featured on last Friday's KOTH event.  Someone chose it as their duel map, and then after the event Jehar broadcast a walkthrough of the map.

A KOTH duel? That sounds odd lol. Is there a link to that walkthrough? Would be interesting to see what Jehar thought of it since he's pretty much a gameplay expert.

I hate that map though (not  yours specific, but that map in all Quakes).  I *SUCK* at that map.  My duel life expectancy is in the seconds and I normally get no points.  :)

Yeah you can generally expect to get a beating when you're up against Blood Run addicts with like 50,000 hours of experience in playing the map :D

One thing, on NADL there seems to be an issues with sky spawns, litterally you have to suicide to continue.

Yeah that was an issue in OpenTDM, but only with the RC1 and older versions (the map name in the console will tell you if it is RC or Beta). If the map has been updated to the final version on the server and it is still happening, then tell me and I'll look into it.
