i think he was really highlighting the staring thru solid objects done by the player while he spammed rockets at a player you can only see about 3 pixels of at best for maybe a second.

He's never given me an eerie feeling when he plays me. Then again I'm not the best person to ask because he's been avoiding moments like these for 4+ years, so I'm not the best person to ask... Although I did talk with him a few months ago and I think he's off the hate haunted parade.

I'm good with my sounds and actually control and deny BFg on that map for fun with that sweet dj.

I'll have to watch the demo again, but I could have easily known someone was up there(not saw), not to mention more demo would be needed to make any call on this at all.

Anyway, he doesn't wall and is an avg, maybe a little above player.. Doesn't wall, i guess spiked models are possible.

It seems weird he would stare up at chaingun platform as he was coming up the first flight of stairs. It doesn't make sense at all but I don't think this is really conclusive. I think we should consider some context as well, just besides purely looking at a segment of a demo. He could have assumed someone was up there even if he didn't hear them, because some players on dm/vanilla just rush bfg all day. HPBs. : )

I can say for sure though that I haven't seen anything suspicious at all from him. Whether it's in teams, duel or ffa.

I agree with barton about him not cheating, but this instance is kind of weird. At the same time, I think this clip may have posted to take this instance out of context, it was posted by a troll name after all. Does he not use AC or something?(thinks of reflex's force AC comment)

Post the full demo alpha. If it shows an indication of herbski knowing that guy was there, or on his way there, then that is going to be pretty lame.

Since that AC post post I found the run of maps we played on DM and watched a few, enough to retract my eerie feeling statement.
Unadulterated hubris, I'm not used to players making prediction shots on the ffa servers.

The most common reasons I heard of players not using AC:

1. They think that it doesn't stop cheats.
2. They think AC makes their computer lag.
3. They play on a mac.
4. They can't get their configuration right.
5. You are A2G. :>>>

Response to #1: I don't really need to point out how wrong this is. Usually I see this comment from dm whiners accusing others of cheats while they use nocheat. The irony is quite sad.
Response to #2: I've heard of players who complained that AC lags their computer, but when you ask them what client they're using it's R1Q2, which has its host of random ass problems that seem to happen to a very small group of people. So I don't really buy this argument either, since there are other clients that can be used with AC (aprq2, q2pro).
Response to #3: Reasonable argument.
Response to #4: It is a pain in the ass to switch over to another client. I remember it took me a couple of months to properly tweak my config in R1Q2 in order for it to feel right, but it can be done. If there's a will there's a way. I think people are just being lazy here with this excuse.

My opinion is that if you're a decent player or you play duel/tdm, then you should use AC in order to ensure fair play. A large portion of players use it. It's easy to use, it works and is relatively painless for most players, so why should you get a free pass not to use it?
