My SN is XG|FragUPlenty. I am the leader of XG-site.coms Quake 4 clan and I decided to join this forum because you guys seem pretty cool. I live in Dixon, CA and have been playing Quake ever since 96 on my 486. Awesome community u guys are pretty much the masters of Quake 2.

i don't know about calling these other clowns "masters" , but i know i am THE MASTER.

Quake 4 is ok, I still like Quake 2 better. I think it is the best one ever. especially since Quake 2 has so much content. Quake 4 is good but it isnt as classic as alot of the older Quake games.

Welcome.. I agree Q2 is the best of the Quake series.. I own every single Quake related CD that has come out.. Mission packs and everything, Q2 and Q4 is all I have installed, and I only play Q4 Single player when I'm bored. Haven't really tried it online.

With the slow agonizing death of Q2, I myself have seemed to venture off as well, but somehow I see myself playing CS 1.6 lately. I used to hate everything about CS, but now I'm out playing in prize tournments, like the AACL that was in Laval, QC this past weekend. I'll be at TFL in Toronto, ON as well this year, and possibly OCCL in Feb in Ottawa, ON.

I'm just happy to see that the people that play for the love of the game are still kicking around, and I, myself respect them more for it. Q2 will always be my roots, and I hope everyone that does move on will remember their roots as well. This is an awesome commuinity, by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. So enjoy.

Yeah, i left a couple times and have always come back. i dont even have the desire to try other games anymore. i have had nothing but frustration and disappointment for years expecting everything to be as good as Q2. But you all know that. i seem to piss people off at LANs cuz i wont play anything other then q2

And speaking of your branching out Element, i know you wanted to do another LAN down here this year. I don't think its gonna happen this year at all. I'm hoping to get everyone geared up to meet at QuakeCon this year and do so in person fragging there.
