hi quakers,
good to see that q2 is still alive, since 1998 much time is gone for me and i am not fit in right anymore, so i have 2 quastions.
it is possible to "activate" enemy forcemodels, i want the same color or better the same enemymodel for every enemy. when i am playing now i got a green female, yellow male and an horrible looking cyborg. it would be nice if someone can help.

and i am surching for this texture pak in the video, maybe does anyone know where i can get it.

for the force models: delete all the models you won't want to see other players as from your player folder, then tell the game to not autodownload models.  That will do it!

its pretty cool. blue for males, yellow for females, green for cyborgs!
or just add the command cl_noskins 1 and youll see everyone as male/grunt

thx a lot so far,
the brightskins work well, and i will test the command cl_noskins in the afternoon. the clau.pak brings some models with it, but not the nicelevel textures that looks like a comic.

anyway, there a some good sites to find some nice crosshairs?

the noskins command in q2pro is the coolest... set to 1 for the normal everyone is grunt... but you can set it to 2 and have everyone either grunt or athena perfect for tdm players still think that needs to be ported into r1q2

the noskin command works very well with r1q2 if you put the command to your config or autoexec   .

my last problem is that i want to see the fragmassage in the middle of the screen, at this time i see it only in the left higher corner. it is possible to set the fragmassage where i want?

There are commands to:

   Make it go away entirely
   Make it bigger or smaller
   Make it stay on the screen longer/shorter time

You can also change the colors it prints, but that requires changing/replacing a file

To have the frag message display in the center of your screen,  it would need to be programmed.

I don't know of a command in the game that does that....  But I could be wrong.

cl_noskin in r1q2 only supports the values of 0 and 1, on and off, when its on (1) it changes everyone to male/grunt

in q2pro, one of the couple really awesome features i like about it, is cl_noskins supports a value of 2, where 0 and 1 are the same as r1q2, but if you set it to 2 then people get forced to both male/grunt and female/athena this is great for tdm players, because the teams are male vs female usually, and if you had cl_noskins 1, everyone would look exactly the same
