i used to have a nice bright green cross hair with a green circle around it any info on how to change my bs white cross i have now??? also another question i have a brand new custom comp  with sapphire hd 6950 in it and my refresh rate is only 60.213 fps how do i boost that up? also ho to turbo boost or overclock the cpu??
system is as follows:

well for one...

dont overclock ANYTHING unless you know what you are doing maybe some one else will give you a step by step guide to a quick way of frying your hardware and voiding all your warranties but i for one wont, and believe if you want to do enthusiast things with your computer you better plan to learn how to do them yourself and ask much more specific questions for help

secondly, i believe the 60hz refresh is do to vsync being enabled, i dont know the cvar for disabling it in game, but it may also be enabled in your driver settings (check ati catalyst) and youll have to disable both

also, on that computer, your hard drive is killing you on loading times lol

gonna buy new hard drive right now actually  with faster load time... any suggestions on hard drive???

 vid_optimalrefresh 1    (Optimal refresh setting might be redundant,  but that's what I have in my cfg. )

 gl_swapinterval 0     (This is what fixes the vsync issue in quake,  if not then look in ATI cat for vsync setting like vae said)

 cl_maxfps 120 (or whatever)

 vid_restart


See if that fixes the fps issue.
 
OH! What kind of display are you using?  Might be important too.

I like..  the white dot replaces my green dot nicely..  but not 100% sure I like the switch yet.

yeah this fixed the fps issue im now getting 1800 fps plus ... thx bro still cant figure out this cross hair ordeal got a predatyor type x hair now gotta get used to it  i guess

not a good drawer but my last one was actually quite simple was green circle that had a green cross in middle of it and circle wasnt solid. the whole x hair was small not very big it looked  like the bh cross hairs but mine was a little more bold
