FTP for TastySpleen files still exist?

I'm trying to transfer some stuff from TS to my ET server but they have port 80 blocked because of hacks on their end.  Does TS still have a FTP server or is everything HTTP now?

You should be able to access your web account directory via FTP.

Used to be that the tastyspleen.net linked to a FTP (or the downloads were FTP).

It looks like the FTP site won't allow anonymous access the way http allows. Your user space account won't be able to traverse up to the quake/downloads directory.

Yeah, I tried that.

I liked direct transferring between TS & ET because it took ~10 seconds for a several GB file.  Me downloading & reuploading took a lot longer.

Strange.  I don't recall ever having FTP access to that directory, as it resides among the rest of the web directories.

However, if you were to log into your happyfriar shell account (ssh) on tastyspleen, you could cd to ~quake2/baseq2, and FTP from there to ET.

I'll give the shell account a try, I have to reinstall that.

I could of sworn you use to have a FTP server.  It was just a plain text listing, just like any other FTP in a browser, nothing fancy,
