map skies

does anyone know if there a different version done of this sky? as u can see from the screenshots the dark is ok but there is one part of the sky that is bright in game and i find it hard to see on some maps

thanks for that. now if only there was an "easy" way to change sky automatically on join. i have tried making a config for the maps i want it changed on with the command sky "skynamehere" but that doesn't work, quadz suggested i find out each sky other maps use and copy and rename, too tedious. i went on quakenet and someone suggested this 

trigger "sky something" "$name$ entered the game" or maybe adding * infront of $name$  <----- does that sound right or make sense to anyone?

Using seperate cfg's to change skies works fine. But I just tested it again and it only executes the cfg when I join a server while it's running the map. It doesn't seem to execute the cfg while loading up a map locally.  Anyway when you join a game you will usually see 'Couldn't exec cfg/mapname.cfg'. So create the folder baseq2/cfg/ and put the map-specific cfg's in there.

for example:
baseq2/cfg/carena.cfg

//
wait;wait
sky unit1_
crosshair 2
//


And to find out which sky is used in a map, type imagelist and look for the env/ part.

If you're using R1Q2 you can use: set cl_beginmapcmd "sky name"

yep sure do. only map it doesn't work on is that big grey monstrosity of a map they have on railz "jabs". don't know why but ah well, its working for all other maps  :bananaw00t:
