Yeah, Netflix has documentary called John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky that I watched a couple of weeks ago. It details a lot of stuff that went on at Tittenhurst during the recording of Imagine, lots of other stuff including the "bed peace" thing too. It talks a little bit about how there was no lake there, and the enormous amount of money and construction effort it took to dig that lake with a little island and tree in the middle... just so that they could go paddleboating once or twice.

Imagine no possessions? Ya know, John seemed like a nice enough dude, and for all the shit he dealt with being a Beatle and having everyone up his ass 24/7, he deserved to have a place he could go and get the fuck away from everyone. And maybe other's views on what he meant by "imagine no possessions" in regards to that song are skewed a little from his own intent. It's more likely that he was attempting to sell the image of zen and Buddhist-like Asian and Indian philosophies than pure Marxism. But still, it's not exactly a realistic philosophy, and it demonstrates how out of touch one can become when they reach that level of fame and wealth.
