As someone wrote in the comments:
"Euthanizing of a dangerous hive." shows up on my recommended list.
Me: Euthanizing a hive of bees? That's horrendous!
3:00 minutes in... I don't know bees, but they look pretty aggressive.
10:00 minutes in... Dear god! Kill them all!

Insane, to say we are infinitesimally small is an understatement. We have a couple hundred quadrillion years until we get sucked in to one.

This was an amazing convo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nb2tebYAaOA
"Jim Keller is a legendary microprocessor engineer, having worked at AMD, Apple, Tesla, and now Intel. He's known for his work on the AMD K7, K8, K12 and Zen microarchitectures, Apple A4, A5 processors, and co-author of the specifications for the x86-64 instruction set and HyperTransport interconnect."
They cover a variety of topics. And boy, were my ideas about how CPUs operate about 20 years out of date.
e.g. "The way a modern computer works is you fetch large numbers of instructions – say 500 – and then you find the dependency graph between the instructions and then you execute in independent units those little micro-graphs."
or: "Today they use something that looks a little like a neural network… you take all the execution flows and then you do basically deep pattern recognition of how the program is executing, and you do that multiple different ways and you have something that chooses what the best result is. There's a little supercomputer inside the computer that's trying to project, that calculates which way branches go."
The discussion also produced some philosophical/introspective observations, like:
"Yeah, imagine 99% of your thought process is protecting your self-conception, and 98% of that's wrong. Now you got the math right. How do you think you're feeling when you get back into that one bit that's useful, and now you're open and you have the ability to do something… different."

When I was whitewater rafting in South Carolina, we camped riverside and the place had an outhouse.
The floor in that place was scary, I worried about falling through it into the nastiness below. I also think if someone lit a match, that whole building would blow. That place really wreaked but it was better than the woods.

Me and an ex-gf once raided an old abandoned nursing home. Just looking for anything useful. I found a big old late 60's lighted Sprite clock exactly like this one:
She ended up taking a bed frame that she sold on the web for 20 or 30 bucks. We also took one of those elevated toilet seat frames with arm rests and a toilet seat w/ lid like they use for elderly and disabled people. We were avid campers and would go camping almost every weekend. Squatting to shit was doable, but this thing made it much nicer.

After the covid quarantine and everybody losing their jobs, the market survey site I'm on had very little opportunities for surveys anymore - companies were cutting back, so marketing dropped off, and the numbers of survey tanked, so you'd spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to take surveys and getting disqualified after a few minutes into it, and you'd only get a 1 cent consolation prize for the first 6 or 8 you get DQ'd from, so I said fuck it and stopped doing it.
Finally started getting back on there earlier this month and the numbers of surveys has gone back up to normal now, although some days it still takes too fuckin long to make my daily minimum to get the bonuses that add up towards your monthly bonus. Anyway, fuckin boring, you don't care, moving on...
Today, they have an ad on the poll page that I completely overlooked until I started reading the daily poll comments... DOUCHEBAGS. Usually they don't allow namecalling and shit like that (I've had one account terminated and another account where they banned me from being able to comment because I was using durty werdz at peepulz in the poll comments). But no, apparently these people were discussing a REAL COMPANY. So's I scrolls up.
See for your fuckin' self. Shit you, I do not.
https://douchebags.com/
So I guess what I'm saying is I need several investors willing to provide some startup capital for my new motorcycle helmet company that will be called ShitHeads.
And once that company becomes self-sustainable, I'll be using the profits from it to startup a new makeup company to compete with Maybelline and Covergirl, and I will call it FuckFace.
