My favorite band is by far the best band in the whole world.

This band is ASG.

ASG is a southern rock band fused with metal and deliver a talented sound like NO OTHER.

They're ok. For a first listen it's not bad but nothing really special to me. Maybe it's an aquired taste.

I'll still with Immolation and Suffocation for now.

the best band in the world has to be Metallica. I'm not thier biggest fan but i know where they stand. i still like alot of thier music tho, especially One, Enter Sandman and Nothing Else Matters.

I'm sorry n0ctuary, but Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice for all.. are better than any cd's Testament ever released. Testament is great, don't get me wrong (I listen to them as well), but none of their cds quite match up to those three. Metallica must have got really lucky to release three masterpiece albums.

Just to be clear I do dispise Metallica now and what they've turned into, but there is no denying how amazing those cds were. If you learned how to state an opinion without following it up with something incredibly idiotic I wouldn't have a problem with what bands you like. Saying something like "Metallica licks goatass. They're just a bunch of no talent hacks who got lucky." is just plain stupid no matter how you look at it. If you like Testament better that's cool, I personally like Metallica better, but I don't end my statement like "Testament are terrible, they are the worst band I've ever heard they arent even metal and their guitar player sucks, LOL!". You can at least give a good band some respect. Oh I know this seems to slightly go against what I was saying about tool on the other thread, but note I said give a good band respect. Tool clearly does not fit into that category.

I agree with you to a certain extent.

I think Testament were able to deliver some songs that were at least on par with the 3 Metallica albums you mention. But to me Testament was far too inconsistent to be considered to best band in the world. I personnaly think that Exodus - Bounded By Blood is better then any Testament or Metallica release.

I haven't liked any Metallica release since And Justice For All... But I can't deny that their first 4 albums were great. I find it almost silly though that someone can say they had no talent and they just got lucky. Just because they turned to shit doesn't mean their first albums weren't great. And they were really important in Heavy Metal music.

Exodus is pretty good, I actually like them quite a bit as well. I'm a big Thrash Metal fan if you have yet to notice. xD

As far as thrash I listen to:

Anthrax (only really like Among the Living)
Death Angel (they only have one really good cd, ACT III)
Exodus
Kreator
Metal Church
Megadeth
Metallica
Overkill (only have heard Years of Decay)
Slayer (I really like a very small amount of their stuff though to be honest)
Testament

May be forgetting something, but think that's it.
