DEL Yahoo tool Bar

Will someone please help me delete a yahoo TOOL BAR.

I have tried everything I know.

Ok, you didn't tell us what OS and browser you use, but I found this info for vista/windows7;

1. Right click on the desktop
2. Click on 'Personalize.' A window will pop up.
3. Click on 'Taskbar and Start Menu' at the bottom. Another window will pop up.
4. Click on the 'Toolbars' tab at the top.
5. Click on 'HP Advisor' to deselect it.
6. Click 'Apply,' then 'OK.'

It comes bundled with the HP Advisor, so it's kind of counter intuitive when someone wants to remove it, because one's looking to remove something with 'Yahoo' on it.

Or try this for xp;

Start> control panel> add remove > yahoo toolbar> change remove.
Click the pencil near the search bar on yahoo toolbar and select uninstall.
Rightclick empty space on toolbar and uncheck the yahoo toolbar. It will hide.

if you have glary utlities, go to modules, click the clean and repair tab and go to the uninstall manager. sometimes it shows more in there than in the windows removal

search registry for yahoo and delete each key you find

That shit (or something similar) comes bundled in damn near every download available on cnet or download.com. That used to be a good place to find all kinds off various little helpful programs, codecs, and whatever. Not anymore. I don't download anything from that shithole anymore if I don't have to. Usually they have options during the install to not install that extra crap, but still, I hate wasting the 2 extra seconds to click the "do not install Yahoo Toolbar" box. It's pretty fucked up when you actually feel safer using torrents to download pirated shit rather than legal freeware programs.

I always say NO

I decided I'd take a look at firefox (4.0.1) in win7 and experiment by removing the blasted Skype toolbar. To say the least, the menu's are a schizophrenic attempt to rip off chrome. The closest thing to uninstall I can find is disable. My only guess for actually removing this crap is to check out about:plugins, navigate to those paths, and remove them manually.

nvm, addons are not listed there. The only place to do addons is the failed about:addons menu I described above.

I think about:mozilla may actually be a more functional page.

JUST auto-updated to 5.0? I'd say "what are the odds of that?" except that mozilla updates 12 plugins and 15 point releases every single time it loads making it one of the most annoying browsers for casual browsing.
