The new series is finally going to be shown in the US on the Sci-Fi channel, and the US release of the DVD's of the first season go on sale in July

If your a fan of the old series I encourage you to check this out, the new Doctor kicks ass.  The first season is only 13 episodes though, but hopefully we won't have to wait long for the second season since it's going to start in the spring in the UK.  I won't say anything to spoil it for those that haven't seen it, but there's a couple old enemies that return, one that hasn't been seen since Jon Pertwee was the Doctor and one that's been around since the beginning.

All kidding aside.. THANKS SOLO!! IMO one of the best ever series. Me an my buds used to sit around an watch'em over and over and over and over and you get the idea....
Used to pull a lot of all nighters watchin The Neighbors (you know, the methane farmers?),  MP, Mary Hartmann, etc. etc.
As Edith (Jean Stapleton) used to sing so beautifully "....those were tha DAAAAAAYYYYYSSSSS......"

Yeah I always liked the theme music myself, the new mix of it is excellent.

The Dr Who music was my friend's answering machine message.  Good effect.

I'm more familiar with the more original theme song.  It must have been a cheap show because my local PBS station played it when I was a kid.

Did you know the show first aired about a week from JFK's shooting.  Not suggesting a relation, rather a perspecitve on the longevity of the show.

Yeah it ran for a long time, from 1963 - 1989 and a crappy movie in 1996, which was a waste of a regeneration if you ask me.
