On my old computer I have nvidia and I have no problem with quake. On new computer all I get is 75.0 fps or 60.0 depends on refresh rate of the monitor. I try to disable vsync and I get fps as refresh rate the same. I dont know how to fix and I know I can get more fps and that is same with cs:s I only get refresh rate fps but on the old computer is ok.

This is a problem that was introduced I think with an older version that came out maybe a year or so ago and never seemed to have been fixed. I had this same exact problem. No matter if vsync was enabled or disabled. I would always get exactly whatever my refresh rate was at. I've always used Reforce to get my highest refresh rate for every resolution. Ever since I switched to win2k from ME a few years back. So anyways, what I finally figured out the problem was was a certain setting in my display settings. It's been about a year or so since I went from an ATI card to an Nvidia, but the problem if I remember correctly was with ATI card's there's the standard FSAA settings, and then they have the other type of FSAA settings. I don't remember what ATI's name for it is. But since all I ever play is q2, I always just max out everything! So the ATI version of FSAA was what was causing my problem. I had it all the way at 6 on their setting. I simply changed it from the ATI FSAA version to the standard FSAA setting and the problem was fixed! Maybe this is all you did basic to fix your problem.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
