I was over my dudes house the today and he introduced me to this website.   How it works is you do your day to day stuff on this website, check mail, web browse, play games and what it does is shares the ad revenue with you.   Peoplestring shares 70% of it's revenue with it's users meaning you get 10 cents here, 30 cents there just for clicking around on random bullshit, it starts slow, but as you refer people you gain an extra 10% of what they make and it forms a string.   Let's say you refer 10 people and they all refer 10 people.  That's alot of extra income just for clicking around doing random bullshit.    I wasn't gonna post this because it sounds weird but my friend is up to roughly 240$ on there.  He's been paid 4 times now so fuck it, why not?   I'm only up to 6 dollars myself but I signed up last night.  Pretty fuckin cool though if I do say so myself.   Oh and btw, it's free.   They have a paid membership that entitles you to a bigger % of the profits but I'm fine with the free membership myself.

It's already been featured on TV, don't really see what you'd lose doing it for free.  Doesn't a scheme involve getting schemed in some way?

Come to think of it I hesitated in posting this because I didn't want to get into one of these debates.   If you don't wanna try it, it's cool.  I just thought it was kinda neat, but getting scammed out of the 0 dollars and 0 cents you need to invest to try it isn't exactly a risk.

But anyway, by Pyramid Scheme I'm referring to its multilevel mechanism.

I'm not implying early adopters are getting 'schemed'.  But the multilevel recruiting mechanism would seem to favor the early adopters.

As schemes go, on the part of the developers, for identifying a way to leech money from the internet, by turning the monitization of ad-wrapped portal content aggregation into a user-driven clicking game, I guess kudos, of a sort.

I dunno man. If you're getting paid for "nothing", I gotta think there's some kind of sketchy angle in it. I'm not sure I trust someone enough to check my email and do all my internet monkey business through them, who's to say it isn't spyware and they aren't allowing a 3rd party to help themselves to the data they collect, or even worse, leaving you open to identity theft or just theft in general.

Where does this money go when the user gets paid? Is it snail mailed via check or do you have to do a direct deposit into your bank account or paypal account? I mean shit, I LOVE free and easy money. But I gotta be sure I'm not setting myself up to get mugged. I guess I should ask if it's legal too, or at least if there's way to loophole around it if it ain't.

That's what "trustworthy" sites do too. 

I just do an online survey thing that was on a gamestop receipt.  ~twice a year I get $25 giftcards in the mail.  Good enough for ~5 minutes a nite for answering survey questions while checking my e-mail.

Well ill keep up with it if noone elese tries it.   You're not getting paid for "nothing" so to speak, you actually generate money when online all the time, you just never get the chance to see a red cent of it.   I wouldn't be so sure it works if I hadn't seen a payment stub with my own two eyes, it's not a get rich quick scheme and they don't boast that it will make you thousands a month...but hell, who couldn't use a couple hundred or so every month or two?   The benifits of growing your string means even more profit for you for doing nothing more than doing what you usually do.   Hell, I'm posting right now here from there.
