Reflex hit it on the nail head.
Video Card or Memory. Alot of times it's as simple as re-seating the memory or vid card. Over time the heating and cooling of the PC can cause the cards to creep loose from the slots. Sometimes just moving them can cause the same thing. Any type of power surge can knock out memory. I had almost 2 gigs knocked out last year from that.
99 times out of a 100 its memory over vid card.
75 times out of 100 bad memory remains silent and "loose" memory causes the MB to beep.
So hopefully you can just pull the memory and then re-seat it.

Hmm, sounds like a nasty porn virus to me. I recommend a 10% bleach solution to clean your HDD. That should get rid of those creepy crawlies.
