Mapping Contest?

Just had this thought yesterday.

Have a contest where you are given a .map file with entities only.

Like have armor here,  health there, guns here here and here,  shards here..  etc.

The object of the contest is to build a map around the entities provided.


Seemed like an interesting thought.

I think it's a good idea. Item placement is half of map development. Working backwards might be a little weird, but I think it's a very good way to speed things up and attract mappers.

I don't know....  I'd find a way to make it uber-negative frag happy anyway.  :)  Nothing says loving like a -10 winning the match.  :)

I'm sure there is,  but I think this would need a human touch.

ben could do it,  just random up a map and take out everything but the entities..
