Okay I just got back into town and tried to get on a tastyspleen server after a hysterical call saying someone got me banned *sigh*

Hi,

The logs show that an admin kickbanned you after you (or someone at your IP) spammed the following, repeatedly:

09:23:59 * a better player: SERVERADMIN: Welcome to TastySpleen! Type d2 in console for new Music, Textures, and CHEATS!!!

I guess the admin didn't like you pretending to be "SERVERADMIN", plus the spamming. I've removed the ban. Please don't do that though.

. I don't there are enough wtf's under the sun to do justice to how that happened on MY ip

especially given the computer retarded nature of the ppl who had access to it.

Whatever, I don't find that funny -- whatever that means I thought there were no cheats in this game.

Anyway I don't have the patience to type in quake anyways

You (or your IP) got banned across all tastyspleen servers this afternoon for playing on railz, as "Reggin", first with a ratbot, then coming back with frkq2.

Sorry, if you can't control who plays from your IP, there's not much I can do.

Ummmmmm okay I don't understand what you are talking about. What the f is a bot I never was spamming, but someone said I kept getting kicked for some file "rat.cfg" that he told me to delete so I did.

If some cheatfinder is kicking me off thats an entire impossibility that I am using any kind of cheat!!!! I mean why the f would I know how to do that after 7-8 years and also I'm last almost every time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I'm cheating then I sure am a CRAPPY cheater as I am last place almost always and I don't even know how to use one.

If someone put on a bot how in the world do I turn it off??!?

I'm sorry I've never been kicked or banned or anything and I definitely WAS playing today and no one else!

For starters, get rid of all files named "ratbot" or "rat.cfg" or "frkq2" etc.

You might get unbanned and given another chance, but frankly I'm not inclined to trust someone who says they've been playing Q2 for 7-8 years and claims to not even know what a bot is.

this seems to me like he had ratbot, and could tell that the server found it. and thought.. hmmmm
they have a very good ratbot detection system.... I bet they wont find my hi tech frkbot. doh!!!!

oh well, they're some light hearted suckers anyway, I'll just have to go get unbanned... again.

and.. if you game any first person shooter. Bot is kinda like a household word. Somewhere between
Wolf 3d and Quake one something went very wrong with the gameing. And I know it wasnt Doom,
has anybody ever seen a Doom bot? or Duke Nukem bot? Prolly not, when those games were king
we had to spend like 20 minutes figuring out the settings and menus to have a compatable setup to play
each other. And with the 28.8's of the day all I ever did with those games was some form of direct
connection, hence the person was in the room with you, so cheating was out of the question.
actually out of any range of thought process, we were just having fun. Cheating was lookin over
yer shoulder to peek at his/her screen

May I suggest you delete your entire q2 directory and reinstall from the cd then go and play elsewhere.
