Kobra Klaws was a respected and positive influence in the community.  A pillar of it.  Supported it.  Helped it grow.

Kobra Kryptic appears to be a negative influence in the community.  Attempting to tear it apart.

People can get lost in thoughts and emotion.  Become irrational.  When people are coming to you in numbers and telling you that they are concerned for you or have seen a change not for the better in you, take some time to reflect.

1: KobraKryptic ranting (While kobra seems to be a pretty cool guy, I'm really tired of hearing about anything that happened with UDML and Devine. I mean there's nothing new with q2 players being whiny...why make a big deal out of this. All the games I've won oever the years ware against ppl with new mice, spiky pings, no sounds and trying new settings. So what?!? Do you think I care about what ppl say becaues of q2? You should learn to just let it be and continue having fun as you were before.)
2: Computer problems: HD crashed just before 2nd tourney. As soon as I replaced it with a new one...my monitor (it was old) died as well. I bought another one. Guess what happens next....it's not really a computer problems...but a tractor that was doing construction nearby knocked the phone line off. So I had to be 2 weeks without phone or internet. That was all back to back before that 2nd tourney. I was almost afraid to fix anything after that as I thought it would just created another problem. Oh well....everything is good now.

Ok … here it goes … 2005 for me … a bit late and a bit on the long side…

Well, firstly, personally it was the worst year I ever had, and the first year that I was outta school (you graduate at the age of 18/19 here). That out of the way, this is how tastyspleen went for me –

Most memorable online events:
- Playing online on Kansas DM and EDGE, then finding TS and playing there.
- My great ping (gotta love 400ms+, right?)
- Joining TS Forums
- Having my first flame war (with Banes. Haha the good ol’ days!)
- Meeting many great people from all over the world.
- Spamming up 38 forums on the net.
- the FNSHOW era (nothing like viewing new FNSHOW thread posts in anticipation )
- joining SX, after I was invited to join MOD but turned the offer down\
- Watching Omega getting flamed constantly but surprisingly only to became one of the most respected members of the community, and the creator of one of the greatest clans around.

(Not because I’m a member. I would have voted SX the best clan of ’05, had I been a part of it or not. I joined the clan because I saw the heart and dedication of each member, as well as the great sportsmanship in the clan, and I didn’t care if everyone thought of SX as a joke, because SX may outlast many other clans out there.)

Runner-up: BTF
(Sometimes I just had the feeling that I was surrounded by BTF members. They’re everywhere! Especially after MOD and BTF became one.)

Best: “Whatcha Look Like?” – Dr_CORN
(Well, it is the best. No flaming, and the largest thread in TS existence. Yeah, I made the thread, but I wasn’t the one who kept it going. Daelmun deserves the recognition anyway, because I got the idea of starting that thread from his Q2P thread. Mine still did better than his tho )

Runners up: “Drink!” - Adam, “I am the best” – banes, “Dedicated to Maddy!” – Dr_CORN
(“Drink!” Is a very layed back, good spirited (no pun intended) thread. And it’s gotten pretty far as well. “I am the best” was a great piece of controversy from the controversial leader himself, banes. Very well timed as well. My “Dedicated to Maddy!” was quite interesting while it lasted, you gotta admit. It was also the longest thread at the stage, after FNSHOW’s thread. I probably freaked Maddy out making that thread tho )

Most controversial: “[H2O]FNSHOW” – FNSHOW”
(Theres no denying that. It was quite simply the biggest flame war to ever occur in TS. I must admit it was quite enjoyable while it happened, but became too much… still gotta wonder where that Mister Show ran off to in such a rush.)

Best newcomer:
A difficult one to predict, as 2005 was TS’s Forums first full year in existence, as well as the beginning of TS becoming one of the biggest Q2 communities in the world.

Best moments for me: Joining SX, making friends from all around the world

Worst moment for me: Resigning my chance-of-a-lifetime job. That meant I wouldn’t have DSL anymore, but only dialup and GPRS. Nothing like being broke …

Hey but 2006 looks like its gonna go quite well for me. Personally, a friend got me a job managing his supermarket. Theres a lot of possibilities there. Money to be made. In about 2-3 weeks I’ll have DSL, but won’t have much time on my hands just yet with my job starting soon, with 18 hour work days. I also met a great girl at one of the New Years parties I went to and its seems like this one will go quite well. Ha she’s got photos from new years as well. I’ll see if I can post some. I got wasted like never before.

Well that’s it from me for now.. thanks to all who helped develop this community.
