I'm not really familiar with mods. I think I connected to it for like a minute up until I realized that no one was on it. If anything, make it another ffa server like DM if you don't have any ideas.

We should 1v1 sometime reaper. Haven't played you in like 2 years.

hmmmm,  I will be back soon : ).  I can play now but i'm on wireless and I don't like the table.  It's not as fun to play when you're not comfortable.  Finishing some updates now..syncing the quake data to another server with rsync.  I could run two servers instantly, and if there's an issue with one, the other server could take over, theoretically without intervention (depending on how the DNS TTL is honored).  Once I get this server stuff squared away, I'm going to investigate maybe some type of video/instructional site.  I really liked what Welkin was doing.

At first I was thinking well I am not the best player, so what's the point of making videos, but I think I can contribute some good stuff to team strategy, and get other players involved as well.  So in the next month or so, I'll probably have some type of template for an instructional site.  The basic suggestion is a site that played youtube videos where players could go over their games afterwards, or what they're thinking during the games.  I had some things holding me back that now I"m taking care of.  Basically my laptop is 8 years old and couldn't run fraps, and a newer PC I can use doesn't do OpenGL right, but I think I have a fix.

How was the server, lag , etc?  Whenever I hop on it , it seems okay..

What do you mean?

I thought the thread was years old...and if it's not, I have no memory of posting.     I saw another one where I posted a lame joke that same night.  Maybe I was snatched by aliens and "lost" that memory file?
