Quake 2 KotH on a different day?

We have suffered that past few weeks without Quake 2 KotH because of work owning jehar. This last Saturday during Warsow KotH jehar suggested alternating between Warsow and Quake 2 koth on Saturday at 8 pm EDT. Normally the Warsow koth's time slot. It would insure that Quake 2 koth happens and it's consistent! Please give leave feedback and suggests, thank you.

i haven't even played in a while so i really don't believe i have much say in this but the alternating between the two sounds wonderful.
that way even if warsow players don't want to play q2 they could organize their own cups.

i say give it a try, if nothing fails keep going if its worse.. then change again or just change back, or jehar... start taking steroids =)

paradigm> TStv|RR: If the Saturdays are split, I suspect that many of us will Warsow without Jehar half the time.  This would then mean that for those of us who want to do one of the events every week (such as myself, with Warsow) the other event becomes completely unaccessible if it fills the same exact time slot (ie, I won't do any q2).  This is a relatively minor issue for myself, but may be worth mentioning in case there's anyone who really wants to do both every week.

Another idea: Shorten KotH to 2 hours and put Quake 2 and Warsow back to back on Saturday. That way there would be one, four hour cast.

PS - Jehar hasn't seen or heard of this idea yet.

I support moving koth. I've tried a few weeks to participate and I'm always too late or coming in on a night that it's not happening.

The downside to limiting KOTHs to two hours is is that, as I see it, one of two possibilities will occur: (1) either people who want to KOTH will be left out, or  (2) the KOTH casting will end before reaching the final match.

The downside to alternating Saturdays, as I see it, is twofold: (1) both events will have half as many KOTHs as previously planned, and (2) people who will continue to do weekly Warsow-ing with or without Jehar will miss out on the q2 KOTH that goes on during the same time slot.  I am unsure of how many people participate in both communities, but prior to this discussion I had hoped to do so myself.

The downside to keeping things as they were are that q2 people were regularly having their Jehar withheld from them.

While the last of the three options is the one that I personally prefer (I was pretty happy with how things were), I recognize that it really fair to the q2 people.  The second option largely means I won't be q2 KOTHing, but the first option is the one I am most against - I'd rather have half as many full, beginning-to-end with everyone who wants to participate participating KOTHs than two not-so-satisfying KOTH snacks.
