but they have made some pretty accurate predictions before

yes, they did do some pretty amazing things.  Though, I doubt the earth will explode.  The earth will end in a fiery death when the sun goes supernova, unless we destroy it first.  It is interesting that the mayan calendar actually goes as far as this date though.  it makes you wonder if humans were more advaanced then, in a sense, then they are now
