I noticed it in a few replays, some players have their hand postiton at "2" and the weapon is still on screen. Whenever I do it, there's no weapon there. I like how it looks, how do I do it?

most likely you are just seeing your own hand position drawing the gun while the demo playback is centered... assuming im understanding that "replays" means demos

I don't think that's the case. I was thinking possibly I would have to add/change something in the autoexec for the hands position to look like that.

i never did figure out if there was a way to draw gun while it being centered...

BUT i know thats just a demo playback and so most likely waht happened, is the demo was taken centered, but he has a right hand setting, and he forced the gun to draw on the higher fov, then either the high fov forced the gun to the center like that, OR he manually positioned it there with several cvars...

still ends up being that he had a right hand setting while watching a center hand demo

why can i see my weapon on fov 120 using r1q2 but going through normal quake i set the fov at 120 i can't see my weapon anymore?

normal q2 wont draw any weapon over 90 fov i think... its either 90 or 100, default is 90 so i think its 90

^this. have to set your fov 90 to be able to "see" your gun.

other commands that I can think of off the top of my head are cl_gun 1, hand 2. mainly depends on what client you're using as to what commands will help or won't help get you the result you are seeking.
