There are numerous places you can go to improve your gaming.

This will help you with your FPS in the game. Meaning it will look more fluid and crisp.
I understand you play on a Mac. Not to sure how it will affect you.

I used to play on a Win98 box (Now a Mac Convert  ) and found a few registry patches to improve speed of the online experience. As for any video settings, I haven't done shit as far as my cfg goes and it has translated just fine.

What is the trouble with Harry?

Packetloss is an ISP issue - he can and should contact them and bitch as I have had to do in the past (with mixed results). You pay for a service and they(the ISP) should kiss your ass. As far as setting for me, I can post a cfg if he wants it...

yea im not even sure whats wrong with my online stuff... i was in a game and ax2grind er som dude said i have packet loss and i was skipping around so i took there word for it that my shits fucked up. But thatd be cool if you posted a config. Thanks guys

that mouserate thing looks sweet but they dont have it for mac i dont think.. and it said on that website that if you have cable set your rate to 25000 my rate is at 10000 and you said to set your fps at 91

on that site it said 120. what should i do?

Well, I 2nd what the enchanted swine says....your packet loos could be attributed to your ISP.

You overwrote your cfg?!?!?! 
here is a hard and fast rule about cfgs...
Harry, Always, and I mean ALWAYS back up your latest files and save them somewhere other than your Quake2 Folder.

Just delete the config.cfg file from baseq2 folder.  Q2 will create a fresh one when you start the game again.

As to config's you should put this line in your autoexec.cfg file and put a copy in every mod folder:

exec ../ghost.cfg

That is all that should be in autoexec.cfg.  Then your custom config file (ghost.cfg) goes in the Quake2 folder.  The first line in my custom config file is unbindall, which basically resets all config.cfg files and makes everything pull from ghost.cfg.  Now you only need one custom config that works for all mods.  Also, make sure all lines in the default config.cfg are included in your custom config.

A lot of players don't know this stuff, so I figured I'd post it.
